5 Gardening Tasks for Early Spring

Jenny from Creekside Nursery is here with a short list of what you can be doing NOW for the gardening season ahead. We know all of our gardening friends are anxious to be busy outside in warmer weather, hopefully these tasks will help you plan your garden...spring will be here before we know it!

Make a Birdseed Wreath!

Treat the birds who are wintering in your backyard to a wonderful treat. This homemade birdseed wreath is easy to make and will last a long time.

Here's the recipe:

Spray a bundt pan with nonstick spray

Mix:

• 2 packets of gelatin
• 1 cup warm water

Then mix in:

• 6 tablespoons of light corn syrup
• 1 1/2 cups flour, then add:
• 8 cups birdseed
• Pat into pan and press well

Let sit in a warm area for a minimum of 24 hours before removing from the pan.
